Orange (movie) review

Orange ,which is based off a manga series by  Ichigo Takano, is an eye- catching and poignant story of high school students who are given a chance to radically change their future. I have been itching to watch the film ever since it was announced that Kento Yamazaki would play the lead. Yamazaki definitely did not disappoint – he depicted young Kakeru Naruse beautifully along side the other cast.

The plot almost follows the same underline meaning as Ao Haru ride which also depicts a teenage boy who is battered with scars from his past and needs support and care from his friends. However, this is where the similarities of the two mangas stop as they both carry different weights and emotional ties that should be experienced. Continue reading “Orange (movie) review”

3 bloggers that changed my life

In the last decade Fashion blogs have exploded, with more and more online websites set up every single day. Since the day that I came to know and love the online fashion community there are some who have and always will inspire me. From their uniqueness to their strong sense of self- these bloggers or should I say online Curators have , unknown to themselves, truly inspired me.

The following list showcases some of my favourite fashion and beauty bloggers:

Stella’s Wardrobe

One of my first ever blogs that I came across on the inter-web.Stella Kattermann, a creative and social media manager, grabs audiences with her unique and approachable style. In my opinion, she has not changed her goals or content to fit with the latest online trends through out the years. That is what I truly admire about her ; she has always put out content that I love and I believe that I will continue to love. Continue reading “3 bloggers that changed my life”

My (not so) secret obsession: Stromae

It all started a few years ago, maybe not so long ago, when I first set my eyes on the Belgian superstar. I was quietly sitting in my French class , not expecting to be attacked by greatness, when someone decided to blast the classroom with the sounds of “Papaoutai”.

Me being me, I laughed terribly at it ,jesting at the plotline of the music video that I didn’t care to understand.

However, one day in the safety of my home – I did it. My first ever stalking session where I listened and watched every STROMAE song I could find on old trusty YouTube. I began to gain a deeper understanding on why he was so popular within the European world. Continue reading “My (not so) secret obsession: Stromae”

LFW day 1: Bora Aksu SS16

Salut mes amis !

I can’t believe that London Fashion Week is here already ! It’s been a fabulous few days so far and not so surprisingly rainy . On Friday 18th , I decided to go and check out Golden Square where LFW is hosting a public screening of all the shows and pop-ups . To be honest , it was smaller than I thought and the rain did nothing to encourage me to stay . However , I did stay to watch one of my favourite designers : Bora Aksu  and boy did he deliver .Lace upon Lace , vibrant masked with muted grace . Ahh ,I have fallen in love again with Bora Aksu ! Barry M Genie Lip Paint review

Salut mes amis !

Barry M is indeed popular for it’s nail polishes but I think that the brand needs a massive round of applause for their Genie lip paint ! The lipstick ‘magically’ turns to a unique shade of pink for each and every person and I was surprised to actually Love the product .

“It’s green but magically turns your pout an ultra-long lasting personal shade of pink. It does this by adapting to the Alkaline in your lips. In other words, every person is different and every look is unique!
Genie lasts for eight hours too so you can achieve an all-day custom kiss that’s all your own (Genie is an improved formulation of Barry M’s popular ‘Touch of Magic’ lip paint.) “- Barry M

Price: Barry M website – £4.49 – Superdrug

Colour:  The lipstick turned out to be a delicate shade that almost touched the  red spectrum on me . However , the colour almost looked identical on my sister so I wouldn’t call it an ‘unique’ colour for every individual .

Last: This lipstick LASTS ALL DAY  ! Maybe just on me but I found that the lipstick stained my lips and no matter how hard I tried to get it off : it stayed .

Recommend: Absolutely ! This has become my go to lipstick for when I need a pop of colour .

How I wear: I dab the lipstick on both my upper and lower lips (after moisturised with lip balm !) and smooth out with my index finger for an every day stain .

Thank you for reading 🙂 Why not try Barry M Genie Lip paint for yourself !
